Treatment: Intravenous Nutrition Therapy

The substances used in IVNT are Vitamins, Minerals, and Water, which are classified as “Essential Nutrients” – aptly named as they are ‘essential’ for life. Essential Nutrients however are nutrients that the body cannot synthesize on its own and therefore traditionally, they were obtained from food we eat. After a consultation with a medical practitioner, personalised formulations are prepared for each patient made specifically to address their nutrient requirement and health needs.

Our IM Boosters take just seconds and the IV Infusions take 30-60mins. Many patients begin to feel the effects during the IV therapy, which then continues over the following hours and days. Soon you will be feeling refreshed, re-energised, revitalized.

More than 1 in 3 people take daily supplements and we know they are certainly beneficial, however, few people realize that when you swallow a vitamin pill the body's natural absorption process can render up to 85% of that vitamin useless. • On arrival to The Aesthetic MediSpa all new patients will be asked to complete a confidential patient registration and medical history form and all existing patients will need to confirm if there have been any changes to their medical history or personal details since their last visit.
• At The Aesthetic MediSpa we use the very latest technologies, not only for our treatments but in all aspects of our clinic. You will therefore be asked to complete your details using an ipad provided. If you prefer however, you can complete your details using paper format and we will happily computerise your details for you.

• Your initial visit The Aesthetic MediSpa begins with a no obligation consultation, which typically last for around 30 minutes.
• Your consultation will be carried out by our highly experienced Doctor, who is a medical trainer for Intravenous Nutrition Therapy. Your consultation will begin by listening to and understanding your concerns and requirements and discussing how best we can meet and exceed your expectations.
• The various treatment options, together with the benefits and any potential risks of the treatment will be discussed.
• You will have ample opportunity to ask questions during your consultation, which will be answered honestly and openly.
• There is no obligation to book the treatment with us after your consultation and you will not be rushed into making a decision.

• We appreciate that many of our patients have very busy schedules or travel a significant distance to attend our clinics and have often done significant research regarding the treatment prior to their consultation. It therefore may be possible to carry out a treatment such as IVNT immediately after the consultation.
• If you think you may wish to proceed with the treatment after the consultation then please advise our staff at the time of booking your consultation so we can adjust your appointment time accordingly.
• Please note that if you book an appointment for a consultation and treatment and you want to think about the treatment further after the consultation, then there is absolutely no obligation to proceed with the treatment.

• Before your treatment you will be provided with a detailed consent form which you will be asked to read and sign.
• Please ensure you have eaten before the IV procedure.

• Apply pressure to site for 2 minutes after IV has been removed.
• Bruising at the IV site is possible. If this does occur it will resolve spontaneous over the next few days.
• If there are any other skin changes at the IV site e.g. redness, pain, swelling please inform the clinic/treating physician.
• After the IV treatment it is important to drink plenty of water.

• Some people feel better right away – these patients usually really need the biochemical ingredients in the intravenous and their physiology improves quickly.
• Some patients may have fatigue and/or headaches for the first 24 hours following the intravenous therapy. Those patients who feel tired or unwell after IV therapy are generally in the process of detoxifying. When toxins are pulled out of tissues, they re-enter the blood stream. They remain poisons, but they are now on their way OUT instead of on their way IN. Even when patients do not feel well at this stage, the process is one of healing and cleaning. After this period, an overall improvement in one’s sense of well being is generally reported.
