The stresses and strains of everyday life have an adverse effect on your skin, whether its over exposure to the sun, or simply a hectic and busy life style. Over time, these ailments age and damage your skin.

Age Spots

‘Age Spots’ have nothing to do with how old you are and ‘liver spots’ have nothing to do with your liver. These terms simply refer to the brownish spots which pepper the face, hands, arms and chest as a result of overexposure to the sun.

These spots can be a constant reminder that your skin has seen better days, but they don’t have to be. At The Aesthetic MediSpa we offer various treatments to reverse the damage that is already there and help you be more effective at protecting your skin in the future.

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is the gold standard for photo-rejuvenation. It is a non-invasive treatment that erases skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, hence, no downtime - you’ll be able to return to your day immediately, and see excellent long-term improvement in your skin.

To lighten selected areas of hyperpigmented skin, Prescription-strength lightening creams from ZO Skin Care are used. By decreasing the formation of melanin, this organic compound is safe and effective in reducing dark patches without skin irritation. It can be used on age spots caused by sun damage as well as other causes of hyperpigmented skin.

For future protection, our professional ZO Skin Care line combines powerful UV blocking ingredients with super-antioxidant for photo protection and good skin health.

....and finally wear sunscreen ALL THE TIME, even if you already have sun damaged skin, it’s never too late to start. Although over the counter sunscreens are certainly better than nothing, prescription-strength sun protection products offer so much more. At The Hadleigh Clinic we can advise you on our professional sunscreens, with high UVA and UVB protection. Remember, a lot of the sundamage we receive occurs while we are driving. Glass protects us from 100% of the UVB light (the light which causes our skin to burn) but none of the UVA( the light responsible for sun damage and ageing skin).
